Falling behind again, lol. We recently had the pleasure of photographing the Boyd family for the second time and we had a ton of fun capturing their family. They are so precious and such a wonderful loving family, it was truly a pleasure to photograph them! We took these at Monument Valley park in just a beautiful area that really worked to bring out the best in everyone!

Several months ago, our very dear friends the Boveé’s gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Nolan. Due to some complications he was born a little early and stayed in the hospital for a bit. We were blessed enough to be able to be there for them as they went through these times and were given the opportunity to document the Boveé’s as they went through this experience. This was an emotional experience for all of us and we are so happy to have been able to share and document the experience with them.

We put together this video for them and they have been kind enough to allow us to share it with all of you. Before you watch the video, please read the note below from Nolan’s proud Father!

A note from Nolan’s Dad:

When we checked into the hospital to have our son I updated my
Facebook status to read “A party of 2 checked in, a party of 3 will be
checking out.” It didn’t work out that way.

Judah and Carmen helped us capture this moment, and in turn, further
capture our hearts as phenomenal people and amazing friends.

So, we’ve been a bit busy and have managed to neglect our blog severely… We are so sorry. If you’ve been paying attention to Carmen’s Facebook you’ve probably been aware of what we’ve been up to, but that’s no excuse for us to neglect our lovely bloggy-blog. So, we will be renewing our efforts to update both our blog and Facebook (go like us!) on a more regular basis.

Well, without further ado, here are a few photos from what we’ve been up to and what we’ll be updating the blog with over the next couple of days.

We love working with this family, they are fun, gorgeous and Shellie just happens to be my BFF of 25+ years! Her girls are wonderful, and I love them like they were my own, so I might be a little bias when I say they are sooooooooo beautiful! Here’s a sneak peek…enjoy!

It was a last minute shoot but it turned out great! Love these kids!

We had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the family of a friend of ours from high school this weekend. This is the Mullenix family and they were great! It was pretty cold out and windy, but they toughed it out with us and we got some great results.

Today in the freezing cold weather I got to photograph this great family! They we’re great even though it was probably -15 outside…haha Anyways, got some fun pictures and I know Jennifer likes letting me have fun with the effects so I did just that…enjoy! And to think I didn’t even post them all…:)

Today Judah and I had a photo shoot with Gentry for his senior portraits…He has such a good personality, it was pretty easy to get some great shots. Judah and I both took some pictures and our ‘eye’ so to speak is so different and our editing is just about as different so I’m going to let him edit his and post them and here are the pictures I took and my edits. I can’t wait to see what Judah does with his pictures! We shot today from 4:15-5 and it was crazy fun lighting because we had the sunset for about 15 minutes then Judah got there and added some additional lighting!

For Down Syndrome Awareness month I am photographing for families that have kids with DS…It’s been intriguing and amazing to say the least! I love these kids and would someday like to specialize in kids with special needs…since it is my passion!

Nick is a senior this year and is so charming I could hardly stand it…and Noah well he’s just stinking adorable in every aspect of that word!
