This past weekend we had the distinct pleasure of shooting headshots for several of the girls that dance with my daughter. The headshots are intended to be used for some upcoming competitions where they hold a “Most Photogenic” competition along with the dance competition. We had a great time shooting the girls and I think most of the girls enjoyed it.

I also had the pleasure of working my first ever maternity shoot this weekend. It was a ton of fun and a great learning experience for me. I hope to have the pictures edited by the end of the weekend to showcase as I think they turned out pretty well for it being my first time out. Looking back on it now I have way more ideas and I realize I need to invest in some basic props for these kinds of shoots. I’ve also realized that preparation is key and hope that I can be more organized for my next shoots.

In the coming months it looks like I have at least one event to shoot and hopefully a few seniors. So far I must say this year is shaping up quite well.
